Hi

Is it possible to set up the FTP server that is on the router to serve a client on the internet? I dont really want to keep a server on line to do a transfer for the short period of time i need to do the transfer.

Yes you can do this.

1.Plug up a USB hard drive the device
2. Make sure you change the default password for you admin login (the password for web gui login)
3. Click on 'Advanced Setup >> Management >> Remote Access'
4. Enable 'Remote Access' with the 'FTP' option ticked for 'Enable Service' and click on 'Apply'
5. Login with your FTP client eg Filezilla to your WAN IP using the username and password for your routers weg gui access
