7800N Wireless issues. (Resolved with amazing support)

I purchased a 7800N a few weeks ago. It was running 1.06g firmware.
For the first 7-10 days the wireless was faultless.
Now I regret seeing this router. The wireless connection dies every few seconds.
I updated to the latest firmware which has made no difference.
I tried different channels ( rather than Auto) , different power output settings, and tried changing frequency.
Rebooting the router sometimes achieves a wireless connection of 30 minutes, but never a stable, usable internet connection.
Several people have said these routers are "useless" for wireless as this is a continual problem with them.
Does anyone have an answer?

Does the wireless light go out when the wireless fails?
Region should be set to Europe if you are in the UK.
What device(s) are you trying to connect?

Hi, the wireless light flashes rapidly when the connection fails.
Region is set to Europe.
Acer laptop and Samsung Galaxy GT-19100 phone are the devices in use.
The Samsung tells me that Wan-lap is " out of range".
The wireless often drops within seconds of connection, for the first 7-10 days there was never an issue.

If you do a scan for WLANs do any come up that are stronger than that of your router?
If so it could be this that is causing the issue but if not then it might just be a faulty wireless module on the router.

When my phone scans for WiFi it shows neighbours routers, some are strong signals. When connected to the 7800N the phone shows a very strong signal, much greater than any other listed.
The laptop is the same. I have now seen the Wireless/WPS light flashing, static green and then off/no light at all.
Having watched my phone for some time, I get a wireless connection for 30 seconds. Then it rescans, tries to obtain an IP address, shows" saved and secured" , fails to connect, and says " wan=lap out of range".
( I have also seen " Authentication error" a few times now. )

Some years ago I had a poor experience with Billion support and wondered what I was going to find this time around.
Well .......... what can I say ? 5 star service, excellent communication from all departments and my issue resolved in a matter of hours.
I posted the faulty router for repair on Tuesday morning, Wednesday am , I get an email saying they have the router ,and the issue is identified and repaired.
Thursday lunch time the router is back with me and is working perfectly.
Thanks to all here and at Billion UK , well done, how refreshing to receive such a good service.
