Re: 8800axl
Thanks will download it from the link above so how long before dh65 will be available?
I take it that the 8800nl and 8800axl both use the same firmware?

The firmware are nearly the same, but the AXL has 5ghz AC stuff and 3G/4G stuff etc

Thanks for the info so is it worth downloading dh65 or wait until its official release I'm currently suffering from severe interleaving on my fibre connection happened about 10 days ago was at 66 down and 20 up but now down to 54 down 18 up interleaved at 1574 down and 239 up not sure what that means but thought I will give it another week before upgrading firmware so that it doesn't effect the Dlm in place as I've read it can take Upto 3 weeks to get your speed back ?

You can stay on the normal firmware, as there aren't any reported issue with VDSL connectivity, I would also check with the ISP to see if there is a line fault on your line, which might have caused DLM to kick in and drop the connection speedBillion-Pad wrote:Thanks for the info so is it worth downloading dh65 or wait until its official release I'm currently suffering from severe interleaving on my fibre connection happened about 10 days ago was at 66 down and 20 up but now down to 54 down 18 up interleaved at 1574 down and 239 up not sure what that means but thought I will give it another week before upgrading firmware do that it doesn't effect the Dlm in place as I've read it can take Upto 3 weeks to get your speed back ?

I've had this problem before with bt infinity 2 took a few weeks for speed to return ping has also risen from a steady 10 to 42 so not so good for gaming, attainable rate is showing 72down but stuck on 54 do I need to keep watching the interleaved depth to come down from 1574 to a normal rate of about 10 then reboot the router or will Dlm drop the connection and re sync at higher speed ?

Not quite sure, others have noticed the speed automatically adjust, by leaving the kit connected, they never mentioned if the line drops/resynced (it will either drop the sync or automatically adjust itself)Billion-Pad wrote:I've had this problem before with bt infinity 2 took a few weeks for speed to return ping has also risen from a steady 10 to 42 so not so good for gaming, attainable rate is showing 72down but stuck on 54 do I need to keep watching the interleaved depth to come down from 1574 to a normal rate of about 10 then reboot the router or will Dlm drop the connection and re sync at higher speed ?

Cheers will keep watching it I've got the software program DSL stats 5.4 and it reports a lot of fec errors Upto 1600 per min so think will just keep the connection running until it improves, meant to ask our these routers ready for g.inp ?

Re: 8800axl
My interleaving is high also (950).
It has been like this since December but my speeds have never dropped just my latency increased.
I had a billion 8800nl connected for over 1 month and the interleaving depth never came down.
Still, billion routers are much more reliable/stable than the home hub 5a.

Yes the 8800AXL supports g.inp (dh65 firmware tested and confirmed)Billion-Pad wrote:Cheers will keep watching it I've got the software program DSL stats 5.4 and it reports a lot of fec errors Upto 1600 per min so think will just keep the connection running until it improves, meant to ask our these routers ready for g.inp ?
