Hi
I notice that this option is disabled by default on my 8800NL and wondered why since there is a WPS light on the front and a button on the rear.
When I enabled WPS to connect my wireless printer 'easily' it didn't work and appeared to mess up my normal wi-fi connection.
I'm a newbie on this router and wondered if anyone could advise if this option is 'buggy' or am I doing something wrong.
I thought with WPS you just pressed a button on the item to be connected, followed by another button press on the router and everything connected as if by magic.
I checked the 8800NL manual but that went over my head with reference to entering Pin numbers etc etc.
Thanks in advance

The WPS function is disabled by default to ensure your device is not compromised (known issue when using WPS, brute force attack)mesaboogieman wrote:Hi

So hence if you want to use WPS, enable the function, press the WPS button on the router, once the WPS light comes on, do the same for wireless device you want to sync.
If that fails then manually setup the device like you would with a phone etc
