Hi All,
Thanks in advance for any help!
Problem:
I recently purchased a Billion 8800AXL router to work with my Sky Fibre which has been all set up correctly. I use a pair of TP-Link Powerline adapters to extend the WiFi to the upstairs of the house that normally can't receive a signal. I've found that when the TP-Link adapters are switched on and i'm accessing the wireless network via the router itself i'm unable to access any of the services on my Synology NAS (FTP, Download Station, Surveillance Station etc.). It times out every time, although Internet access is available.
However when I switch off the powerline adapters everything works. I posted this issue in the Billion forum as this set up worked fine when using the router provided by Sky.
Also interesting to note is that when the TP-Link adapters are switched ON and i'm upstairs (i.e. accessing the WiFi network via powerline) it works correctly.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Very odd - have you tried to configure the powerline adapters? I bought some from TP link and it didn't provide me with the network I wanted and sent them back.
What about configuring the Billion so the adaptors and/or the NAS has a static IP?
Rick.

Thanks Rick,
The NAS does have a static IP address, this is set up on the NAS itself (not to use DHCP and static IP assigned). However i'm sure it must be related to the powerline adapters as when they are off there is no issue.
I'm thinking there is some conflict between the adapter and the router but i've done alot of searching and can't find anyone who has had a similar issue.

Hopefully someone can help you - it is very annoying, it may just be something so very simple - have you had a look at the manual: https://au.billion.com/downloads/userma ... M-1-04.pdf
