Billion 8800NL Doesn't work with Cisco Anyconnect Secure VPN

Post by MrChips »

Hi,

My employer has just changed the way we access our VPN by using the Cisco Anyconnect Secure Mobile Client but it doesn't seem to work with my Billion router. Absolutely no idea why. If I log onto my neighbour's wifi (via BT Wifi) the Cisco VPN access works absolutely fine - on my Billion, it won't do anything except timeout. And the log message of the VPN Client says next to nothing other than cannot connect. Any ideas? Does it need ports opening or something, some setting checked?

I've tried the latest e firmware too - no improvement on VPN access.

Thanks.

Once on firmware 2.32e, login to router and click on 'Configuration >> NAT >> ALG' now disable 'IPsec' and click on 'Apply' once done try your cisco anyconnect client again

Thanks. Unfortunately I tried 2.32e and it didn't work for me - for general browsing. Intermittent but frequent slow down loading web pages whether on wireless or ethernet - same problem on tablet and PC. I've already gone back to 2.32d. so although I'd like to try this fix for the VPN the 2.32e firmware seems otherwise broken for general use.

If you are using 2.32d.dm12 you can find the same option under 'Configuration >> NAT >> ALG' disable IPSEC
