Configuration change not sticking

Post by adrianchapman »

I am trying to set up static IPv4 and IPv6 addresses on my 8800AXL. I can select the "static IP" box, enter the numbers, but when I change apply nothing gets changed. This repeatable and has been an annoyance for some time. I am running the latest firmware.

Seems to work here

See attached screen shot, just tested it, and it accepted it fine, (every time I click on the edit button I see both IPv4 and IPv6 addresses added)

Maybe you can try entering my WAN IP's to see if the router accepts it (I know it won't give you a internet connection, but the test is to show that the router will let you set static IPv4/Ipv6 addresses)

Ipv4 address - 82.61.213.9
Ipv6 address - 2001:4d48:ad57:1700::/56

I have two configurations on the router, one for adsl and one for vdsl, I am currently on a vdsl service, which is the one I can't change. Oddly, I can change the adsl configuration.

I tried your settings, same problem.

Have you tried to add another PTM interface?? (leave the username and password and VLAN ID as -1, or blank)
