Number of issues with 7800n

Post by annodomini2 »

I have just changed supplier to Virgin and am experiencing a number of issues, NOTE: the firmware version is 1.06d

I have been using the router for about 12months on ADSL2+ without issue.

I have put the EWAN port in bridged mode to connect to the Superhub (in modem mode), this has caused a number of issues:

1. The settings menu becomes inaccessible (only tested on WLAN at this point)
2. All Android devices refuse to connect to wireless. No issues previously.
3. BB Speed is limited to about 30-34Mbps. 62Mbps when connected to the box directly.

Hi annodomini2

Please submit a ticket to our esupport. http://www.billion.uk.com/esupport/inde ... ets/Submit

Just to speed up the process please follow these steps, once the wireless issue has occured

1. Turn off the router (leave it for 10 seconds)
2. Turn on the router
3. Login to the web interface
4. Click on 'Advanced'
5. Click on 'Status'
6. Click on 'System Log'
7. Copy and paste the whole system log to a wordpad/notepad file and send it over with your ticket.

Regarding your issue with BB speed, have you turned off QOS?? Other customers have reported quicker speeds via EWAN port.

If you have QOS disabled or not configured then maybe a firmware upgrade to 1.06g and reset back to factory default settings might help??

Thanks
