On "WAN Service" the manual says "Firewall: Enable to drop all traffic from WAN side. If enabled, all incoming packets by default would be dropped, and please turn to IP Filtering Incoming to add allowing rules. ".
I see the Firewall is enabled by default, but I haven't done anything to IP Filtering (not that I would know what to do anyway), yet I still have a working connection.
Please explain what I'm missing.

This is because the router has a SPI firewall, which means if a outgoing connection is established by a device the firewall will automatically allow a incoming connection

Thanks, got it, the manual could be a bit more informative!
[Which is a bit of a general understatement, especially as there is no help built-in to the GUI!).
Cheers
