Has or does anyone know why its doing this please :-
devices are randomly being disconnected from this router and Not being allowed to re-connect or even find the router, this has only been the past couple of days as all was fine before, but now unsure if or when this upgraded to the new firmware 232e is the problem.
i have to disconnect all devices and restart the router for certain device to hopefully get re-connected, like phones, PC,xbox and tablet
8800NL modem router connected to BT fibre
(is working perfect and nice stable connection, other than this problem)
any help would be appreciated thank you as i really like this router (better than that BThub5 rubbish)
i finally found out that the address of the device not connecting (at the time) was in the Static ARP section of advance setup and once i deleted it the device connected, But i have no idea why or how that entry was done.
well i thought that was it But for some reason this is starting to Kick various devices off my network and stop them from connecting fully to the internet.
Any Help would be appreciated at this point because this has only started doing this in the past week and i havent touched anything, other than changed different channels
BT Fibre
thanks all

Have you tried to increase the 'Max Clients' count to 32??morvoldo wrote:Has or does anyone know why its doing this please :-

You can do this by following the steps below
1. Login to the router
2. Click on 'Configuration >> Wireless >> Advanced'
3. Change the 'Global Max Clients' count to '32' and click on 'Apply'
4. Click on 'Wireless >> Basic'
5. Change the 'Max Clients' to 32 and click on 'Apply'
6. Reboot the router, and monitor the connection.

Another thing to try is a reset of the router, and manual reconfigurationmorvoldo wrote:thank you But yeah i increased it to 50 / 128, 50 should be enough

Hi morvoldo, Back up your router settings, perform a factory reset, then re-import your settings. As the settings file is XML based, as opposed to a binary file, it should be parsed correctly. I've done this several times, and seen no issues.

I have this same issue with this device and im also on bt infinity and I am on stock firmware. routers only been in about 4 weeks. router randomly drops all connections to every device even those connecting over cables and you have to power it off and on again. seems buggy to me.

Re: Kicking devices off
Try using the attached firmware, and once upgraded reset back to factory default settings and manually reconfigure the device again, do not restore settings from previous firmware builds (this is a must for this firmware)lotuschap wrote:I have this same issue with this device and im also on bt infinity and I am on stock firmware. routers only been in about 4 weeks. router randomly drops all connections to every device even those connecting over cables and you have to power it off and on again. seems buggy to me.
