Purchased 8800NL r2. Connection speed 8mbps slower than BT Homehub 5?

Hi all,

Just bought a Billion 8800NL r2.

Was getting approx 24 mbps download with the BT Homehub 5 according to the router's statistics.

Changed to the Billion and getting approx 15mbps according to the router's statistics.

Tried this several time now.

As soon as I plug the Homehub 5 back in, speed goes up to approx 9 mbbps ! Ditto on another vdsl modem I have borrowed from a friend.

Any reason why the Billion should be dropping this much? Firmware is up to date. Looks, like I'll have to be returning this if it can't be sorted.

Can you take screen capture of the DSL statistics from both units so we can compare??

(on the Billion its Status >> Statistics >> xDSL, not sure about the BT Home Hub 5)

Tried new firmware, but in the end I had to send the Billion back to Amazon as the issue could not be sorted.

Think I'll be returning my one too no better than the cheap one that the provider sent ( in fact it's worse to be honest ) I'll try a few other things but it's not looking good
