8800n Sky Problem

Post by whittall1 »

Hi,

I have been using the 8800n on Sky Fibre for around 6 months with no issues.
However for around a week or so I have been getting very slow speeds.

Fortunately I live opposite the BT exchange and have always got 38-40mb down and 10mb up.
I am now getting 6 - 8mb on both wired and wireless.

I plugged the Sky hub back in last night and this speed jumped back up to 38mb so there is obviously an issue with the 8800n.

I have rebooted the 8800n several times but the problem remains.

The only thing I can remotely relate this to is that a week ago Sky Fibre was down in my area for several hours, but I'm not sure how that would effect things.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Try loading a newer firmware found on the link below

ETEC8800NL_2.32e.dh4.afw I posted

With this firmware make sure you reset back to factory default settings and do not restore settings from previous firmware builds
