8800NL R2 Wireless issues

Post by GoatBlower »

Wireless seems faulty or buggy

Initially I was installing this for a client. I put the settings in and plugged it in etc
Fine, it came to life and connected to vdsl from BT
I connected to the router wirelessly but there was no internet (wired devices were fine)
Latest firmware was already in place

So I put an old router in place whilst I dig in to this

Brought it home and put it in place of my own router
All seemed fine - at first
About 36 hrs later the wifi went wonky. It was visible but nothing could connect.
Reboot brought everything back to life

I have put a older firmware in place and wait to see how things pan out.

Any words of wisdom welcome ;)

We will need a copy of your system log, once you set the system log to debugging (Configuration >> System >> Configure Log' set both the 'Logging Level and Display level to 'Debugging' click on 'Apply') wait for the issue to occur, and send us a copy of your system log.

It best to work off the newer firmware

Once you have this submit a ticket on the following link http://www.billion.uk.com/esupport/inde ... ets/Submit so we can investigate, also let us your network topology eg how many wireless devices are connected, how many wired etc

Thing is
Now, I sent it back
Went for a draytek insead

In this instance I just don't have time to debug it as a client was involved.
I normally have great success with Billion and will still look to use them in future.
