I have a primary WIFI and guest WIFI configured.
primary WIFI works perfect, guest wifi is isolated from the main WIFI via interface grouping and also works perfect.
however, i want to be able to hide the SSID for the main WIFI but leave the guest WIFI SSID visible.
it seems that if i set the main WIFI to hidden then it hides the guest WIFI too, even though the setting to hide it is still unticked.
is it possible to do this? as it seems the hide setting from the primary WIFI affects the guest WIFI too.
WIFI settings - main and guest mode (8800NL 1st gen)

doesn't work like that for me, and another person tested and got the same results.
set the primary SSID to hide and it hides ALL the wifi networks, not just the primary.

How strange, I just tried the followingchenks wrote:doesn't work like that for me, and another person tested and got the same results.
set the primary SSID to hide and it hides ALL the wifi networks, not just the primary.
1. Reset the unit back to factory defaults
2. Enable the guest wifi network and added security
3. Isolate the port using the 'Interface Grouping' option and enabled 'Groups Isolation'
4. Selected 'Hide SSID' for the 'Primary' SSID
5. Just scanned for wireless networks, and I can only see the Guest network
Can you send me a email (support@billion.uk.com) with your config file attached, (please set the password for you config to 'admin' so I can load your settings)

There is no security risk in sending me your file, I won't be using the internet connection, just testing the 'Hide SSID' option within your config file.(you can make a backup under 'Configuration >> System >> Backup / Update' then click on the 'Back Up Settings' file)chenks wrote:how do i get the config file?

As you are sending the email to our support team directly, there will be no information shown on our public forum here
