How should the Security Log be configured to show any alerts?

The Security Log (Status > Log > Security Log) does not appear to be enabled by default. Indeed, all I'm currently seeing in the Security Log window in the router's GUI is zilch, no text of any sort.

I'd want the Security Log to show any suspect activity identified on either an outgoing or incoming connection in the idle state. But how on earth do you initiate the Security Log and get it to record some results in the first place?
