BiPAC 8800 NL - Unable to get Gigabit LAN on Port 1

Post by BillionLusi »

I have a Gigabit switch plugged into port 1.

However, in the LAN/Eth Port Control settings it is showing as ..
Up ( 100 mbps full duplex)

It's set to auto/auto. Also, I can only set port 1 to 10 or 100.

Model Name BiPAC 8800NL
Host Name home.gateway
System Up-Time 0D 0H 46M 10S
Date/Time Tue Jun 6 21:34:34 2017 Sync
Software Version 2.32e

Any ideas how I can actually get Gigabit speeds out of this?

Try changing the cable that is connected to your switch (make sure you are using a CAT5E cable), also try connecting the cable to PC, and check to see if the speed is showing 1gbps. (port 1 is auto detection, you can slow down the port hence 10 or 100mbps option)
