Hi, I do see what you mean about the internet LED it is a bit sluggish what concerns me mainly is (cosmetic again) normally on routers switches etc the more data being used e.g. downloading a big file the LED can flashes so fast it dulls giving you a great idea of data moving, but the 5gHz LED really bugs me, it just sits there and blinks if you have every 5gHz device switch off it shows very little only that yes 5gHz is on and that’s it really, when you start moving data it just blinks and gives you no idea how much is moving a few bites or a full HD feature film.
Now the chip-set for the 5gHz is used by other manufactures and it's fine, so I'm really hoping it’s a firmware tweak, if not then it could be an external component design problem which would need a hardware modification, with surface mount devices that could be tricky, Billion Fan asked the tech guys over a year ago and they still haven’t come back to him, I'm hoping it is because they are busy, and not the fact that it is designed that way, if so why would you design such a stupid LED.
The Ethernet LED’s and the 2.4gHz LED are great.
I do appreciate this does not effect the performance in anyway just me I guess if it don’t bother other people.
