8900AX R2 - SNMP with PRTG Network Monitor

Post by Knuckleheadz »

Hi Billion,

Merry Xmas! :)

I recently installed PRTG Network Monitor on my server in order to monitor my local infrastructure.

I set up the SNMP Agent on the Billion Router (Enable, Read Community: Public, Set Community: private, Trap Manager: My Servers IP address) and I can see it listed as Gateway with each LAN port, DNS, PING and WAN port showing however I'm not seeing any network traffic at all)

Are you able to help at all?

Thanks
Jon

Hi Billion,

I've spoken to PRTG and we set up a Custom SNMP Trap (based on settings we'd both spotted in a post about Cacti) however when we look at the SNMP output from the Billion Router all of the data is static.

I've attached a screenshot of this.

Have you seen this before and is this something you can help me with please?

Many thanks
Jon

Try loading this special firmware (not for other users)

If you still have issues still please provide a copy of your system log + SNMP screenshot
