Had an issue over the weekend, just wanted to see if anyone else is experiencing.
Devices connected to the 2.4Ghz wireless band started reporting lost internet connection, but they were reporting that they were connected to the router. Any device connected to the 5Ghz band were fine only those connected to 2.4Ghz band reported the issue.
I'm on f/w 2.52.d27 and with BT fibre to the cabinet.
Any thoughts?

That's a strange one, haven't seen that before, did you check the IP address the 2.4ghz clients obtained ?? Also were you able to login to the router from the 2.4ghz band (even though the clients reported they were connected??)isablend wrote: ↑Mon Apr 23, 2018 11:37 am Had an issue over the weekend, just wanted to see if anyone else is experiencing.

Re: Lost Internet Connection on 2.4Ghz
I did a router re-boot with current settings and all seems to be fine, still monitoring.
With regards to IP addresses it a mixture of devices with fixed IP and dynamic ones. The heating system (Honeywell Evohome) has a fixed IP, my wife's iPad has a dynamic IP, both reported loss of internet connectivity. I checked my wife's iPad and it showed a connected status and we even re-freshed the Wireless connection, which succeeded, but it did not fix the issue showing that it was connected but with no internet connection.

How strange, might be one off, as I haven't experience a similar issue on the 2400isablend wrote: ↑Mon Apr 23, 2018 12:44 pm I did a router re-boot with current settings and all seems to be fine, still monitoring.

Re: Lost Internet Connection on 2.4Ghz
Hey,
I had a similar issue last night but with the 5GHz network. I have different SSIDs on both my 5GHz and 2.4GHz networks - the 5GHz network disappeared and the LED remained solid. After connecting to the 2.4 network, access to the web interface was incredibly slow - and even after rebooting the router it took a change in channel to get the 5GHz SSID showing again.
Has anyone else experienced this? Hopefully it's just a glitch and not hardware issues.
Thanks,
Craig

Re: Lost Internet Connection on 2.4Ghz
I have had plenty of problems with 5Ghz band but i finally nailed it it was due to using unusual charters in my passwords, but when i reported it to billion_fan he got it fixed, i mention this just in case you are using a few charters that are not recommended or the fact that you may not have the latest's firmware's flashed the fix was implemented in zcomax8900ax2400_2.52.d24.afw after that you should be OK, i don't think it will be hardware related at this stage, also the 5ghz band has radar detect and will change channel to avoid interference.Craigeh wrote: ↑Mon Apr 30, 2018 1:10 pm Hey,

Just as a test use a lower Chanel say 36 or 48 and use a simple password numbers and letters, if that works OK change back to you're usual password check if that's OK then if you're manual setting a channel it may be too high Apple devices don't like very high channels by design.
All the above are just suggestion hope it helps.

Re: Lost Internet Connection on 2.4Ghz
I don't have any unusual characters in my password
and I am also running the latest firmware - should have mentioned that in my original post.
