SNMP bug in 1.06g firmware

Post by frogfoot »

Hi, I have a 7800N running the 1.06g firmware, connecting to Sky broadband using MER. I also have a Synology diskstation running CACTI which I use to log ADSL connection stats and interface bandwidth monitoring. I have noticed that with the latest couple of versions of firmware the OIDs for downstream speed (.1.3.6.1.2.1.10.94.1.1.3.1.8.3) and upstream speed (.1.3.6.1.2.1.10.94.1.1.2.1.8.3) sometimes stop reporting the correct values and simply report 0.
Disabling/re-enabling SNMP on the router fails to correct the problem and the only recourse is to reboot the router. Correct logging will then resume for several days, and then it will fail again. All the other OIDs I monitor work as expected, it is just a problem with the sync speed OIDs.
Router operation is otherwise fine, with no loss of connectivity.
Is this a known bug? Is there a work around?
Thanks
Tom
