I bought a BiPAC 8800AXL R2 a few months ago and the wifi performance is quite poor especially one floor above where the signal drops to very slow speeds. Sometimes my Mac even says signal is 2 Mbps on 2.4ghz (450 Mbps next to the router).
I am on firmware 2.52.d10 and I have changed the bandwidth to 20 Mhz / 40 Mhz but this hasn't made a difference.
Is it something to do with the firmware?

Re: Poor Wireless Performance
All I can suggest is try changing channel to see if that helps, or try using the 5ghz bandcwmr22 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 12, 2018 12:00 am I bought a BiPAC 8800AXL R2 a few months ago and the wifi performance is quite poor especially one floor above where the signal drops to very slow speeds. I have changed the channel but it is still poor on the floor above the router. I have to use 4G instead because it is so slow.billion_fan wrote: ↑Mon Aug 13, 2018 9:38 amAll I can suggest is try changing channel to see if that helps, or try using the 5ghz bandcwmr22 wrote: ↑Sun Aug 12, 2018 12:00 am I bought a BiPAC 8800AXL R2 a few months ago and the wifi performance is quite poor especially one floor above where the signal drops to very slow speeds. Is there a problem with the firmware? I'm on 2.52.d10
I also often get incorrect Wifi password when trying to connect sometimes even though the password is correct.

Re: Poor Wireless Performance
Can you try loading the attached firmware and let me know if you still experience issues with the incorrect password issue.cwmr22 wrote: ↑Wed Sep 05, 2018 10:18 pmI have changed the channel but it is still poor on the floor above the router. With this firmware you must upgrade the device with 'factory defaults' option selected, then manually reconfigure the device again from scratch.
