I have a virgin modem and 10 fixed wan IP address

How do I set the Ethernet port on the billion to use a fixed wan ip

do I use ppp over Ethernet (ppoe) page or the IP over Ethernet page ?

Virgin tec say I should set my billion router up using GRE but I cant find any GRE settings

I used the IP in my wan statistics in the billion router but it kept changing and now shows me 192.168.100.1 which is the IP of the virgin modem not the wan IP

Any ideas how to do this

Well normal home connections with virgin would be Ethernet >> IPOE (I only see the 192.168.100.1 when the Virgin modem has been rebooted, and hasn't made a connection to virgin yet to obtain the WAN IP, normally a release and renew of the IP should fetch the correct WAN IP)

Two options for fixed IP use below

One to one NAT option (any devices set within the one to one NAT will need a software/hardware firewall)

Or No NAT mode, so turn off NAT on your WAN profile, leave the firewall on, set the fixed IP Virgin said should be assigned to your modem to the LAN IP for the billion, either turn off the DHCP and set the remain fixed IP's to your devices, or adjust the DHCP range to match your fixed IP range.

Finally add a 'Security >> IP Filtering Incoming' rule to allow all traffic through the firewall to your fixed IP devices (this is only for NO NAT mode) attached screen shot example do not add the new LAN IP address of Billion within this rule, otherwise the router will be exposed
