I have recently added Sonos Players to my setup and whilst I am able to stream music from with my network, via 7800n, the players seem unable to access the Internet to use Spotify, or indeed to set the date and time. The weird thing is that on occasion I can connect. I wondered if there are settings I can can change to ensure the Sonos players can access the web?
Thanks

Re: Blocking Sonos?
Use the fixed host option to set a fixed IP address to your sonos player.
Then you can DMZ the IP address of your Sonos player to ensure all ports are exposed to the internet

Re: Blocking Sonos?
I've set a fixed address for each Sonos mac address in the Static ARP, and adding the IP address of the Sonos Bridge into the DMZ. The issue I appear to have is the 7800n assigning the static IP address to each Sonos mac and an additional IP address - so each Sonos player ends up with 2 IPs. Why might this be occuring? Thanks

Re: Blocking Sonos?
Never seen this before, I would suggest just using the Fixed host option on the 7800N without the static ARP as this should not be needed, also set your Sonos to obtain a IP address via DHCP.mr_tim wrote:I've set a fixed address for each Sonos mac address in the Static ARP, and adding the IP address of the Sonos Bridge into the DMZ. Re: Blocking Sonos?
I had this.
Reset all the Sonos units - power cycle - and reboot one at a time. This solved problem for me. Something to do with DNS I believe. Just did what Sonos helpline advised and it worked.
