For the average setup, what should these settings be?

I refer to the VLAN and Ethernet OAM settings:

Configuration > LAN > LAN VLAN setting.

Advanced Setup > Diagnostics > Ethernet OAM.

Since, for VDSL2 operation, the PTM settings include a VLAN no. (101), does this mean that, in the above global VLAN setting, VLAN has to be enabled, or only if your devices are on different LANs?

Should Ethernet OAM normally be enabled? Is there a default setting for it?
