Hi , I have one 7800n connected to the ADSL line upstairs and is fine ( IP 192.168.0.1) , the other 7800n I have connected as a router downstairs ( 192.168.0.2 ) via one of the gigabit ports on each , all seems fine and everthing works, both the extra wireless access point and Giga LAN ports .I have set 192.168.0.2 as a fixed host in the ADSL router aswell.
I have DHCP set to work on the ADSL router and off in the other , however is there a way to set the second 7800n so the time server will work ? I have tried adding 192.168.0.1 to the second routers SNTP server but this does not help.
I used to be able to do this on my netgear by adding the ADSL routers IP as the DNS server , this seems not available on the 7800n , not a real problem , more of a whim.
Also how can I turn off the ADSL bit as it is not needed in the second router , Could I just remove ALL the ticks in the Configuraton/WAN/ADSL Mode ? would that switch the ADSL off ?
This gives me awesome wireless coverage around the house , and I can connect laptops and phones on either upstairs or downstairs wireless , and I can see the NETWORK in my house of PC's and NAS boxes from either router.

Normally the SNTP is synced via the WAN connection. Either ADSL or EWAN.

Thats a bind, as I'm not using the EWAN as it is only 100MBps , so looks like if I want 1 GBps LAN I have to live with no SNTP in 2nd router.
Any ideas how can I turn off the ADSL bit as it is not needed in the second router ?

The only thing I can think of is to switch the main port to EWAN then ADSL should be disabled.Dink444 wrote:Thats a bind, as I'm not using the EWAN as it is only 100MBps , so looks like if I want 1 GBps LAN I have to live with no SNTP in 2nd router.
