Hi
Just acquired an 8900AX-1600R2 with 3 antennae. The 2 outermost antennae are already mounted to the unit (the centre one is a straightforward screw on antenna). Can I rotate the 2 outermost antennae physically ? ... they seem incredibly tight, I don't want to break them ! ! I ask for 2 reasons 1. the pivots which allow them to angle through 90 degrees point towards each other, so if you do this, they both hit the central antenna ! and they need to be rotated to avoid this. 2. I have an older 7800DX which has 'identical looking' antennae, which rotate freely... so should they also rotate on the 8900 ?
thanks

Its the same antenna design for the DX, if you lay the 1600 R2 down (the 7800DX has the same restrictions)Pete B wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2019 4:40 pm Hi

(so not using the stand you will know what I mean, as the device is designed to be laid down/wall mounted and used with the stand)

Re: 8900AX-1600R2 - physically rotating antennae
Thank you for your help, I follow what you are saying. I have now safely rotated those antennae to more suitable positions. It's just that they really were so tight (compared to the 7800DX), I was concerned I was doing something wrong
Once I knew that they were the same system, I just used a lot of leverage and got away with it
