As a long time user of my 8800NL v1, I'm generally very happy with the performance, reliability and usability.
I bought a BT Home Hub 5 for a song from a charity shop, mainly to keep as a backup, especially as I have BT broadband.
I tested both 8800NL and HH5 using speedtest.net, one after the other.
The results were interesting. The 8800NL was consistently about 5% faster on download, but the HH5 was consistently about 10% faster on upload.
I repeated the test with several different servers as offered by speedtest.net, and the results were the same.
Can anyone explain this difference?

Odd that upload/download speeds differ.
I'll stick to the 8800NL as faster downloads are more useful to me.
