UPNP table disappearing act

Post by smatharu »

Hi all,

I recently logged into my 7800n which has firmware 1.06g.dc1 installed, clicked on UPNP table (which was fine), then went to DHCP table where nothing loaded and the router crashed and restarted. I logged in again after the restart to check the UPNP table and all the entries had disappeared. I've got my Synology DS212 NAS plugged into the router and it needs the UPNP settings in there so i can access remotely (which I do regularly). Of course if the entries disappear then I've no way of knowing until I attempt log in and failing so can someone tell if they've seen this before and whether there is any fix for this issue?

Thanks in advance!

I haven't seen the UPNP port map section empty before (when a device is using UPNP) I would suggest a firmware upgrade to 1.06h link below (as the router has just restarted it might take a while for your Synolody device to appear in the UPNP port map section)

Thanks very much. I did wait a few hours (overnight) to see if the entries re-appeared but to no avail.

Will try the new firmware tonight and let you know how it goes.
