Hi,
I am using the 7800n with 1.06h firmware and although I'm not using the Billion PPTP functionality, I am using my NAS drives VPN functionality. This means I connect directly to the NAS, get allocated an IP address and theoretically I'm able to use the network. The problem seems to be with regards to the DNS lookups and hence i can't surf the net. I have set it up on the NAS so that the DNS server is via the gateway which in this case is the 7800n. What I wanted to know is whether the VPN client IP address is seen by the 7800n and if so, will these IP addresses get blocked by the firewall if they are on a completely different subnet.
Just to be clear, my NAS is on the 192.168.1.xxx subnet and any VPN client IP address is allocated within the 10.0.0.x range.
Any help would be appreciated!

Right, after a morning of working it out it turns out it was an issue with the latest version of the firewall running on the Synology NAS (v4.2). Serves me right for being an early adopter!
