Latest 3G Modems
Is there a chance that the 6200NXL can be upgraded for the latest 3G modems. I am using a Huawei E353 and this will not connect at all.

You can find a list of compatible 3G dongles on the following link
http://www.billion.uk.com/compatible-3G.htm
Please select you model (6200NXL) for a full list of compatible 3G dongles.

A really unhelpful answer. i have the 7204NX and a Huawei E586 from Three. This also doesnt connect and when i spoke with tech i merely got directed to the page of supported 3G dongles.

Re: Latest 3G Modems
Normally these dongle have to debugged and the firmware modified to make any 3G dognle compatible with the device.
This is the reason for having the compatibility list, so customers can check thier dongles make/brand before buying the whole kit (3G router)
If the Huawei E586 is not on the compatibility list, this means the dongle is not supported, and needs further debugging before Billion can advise if the dongle can be made compatible or not.
As new 3G dongles are released every one/two months, it is hard for Billion to make sure all dongles brands are made compatible, it is like a cat and mouse game, billion add compatibility of a dongle, then the 3G providers releases a new dongle,
