I recently bought a 7800N. The firmware version is 1.06g. I have downloaded 1.06h but am a little wary of upgrading because when I did this on a different router it never worked properly afterwards.
Are there likely to be problems on the 7899N?
Is it safe to upgrade firmware on 7800N?

Yes it should be fine, but don't forget you need to reset back to factory default settings once the firmware has been upgraded, so you will need your ISP username and password at hand.
Do not restore settings from previous firmware builds.

I was wary of upgrading to 1.06h having seen others with problems but gave it a go after backing up my 1.06g and haven't experienced any problems.
While I don't have any problems with a blank DHCP Table that some have reported with it, if things stay okay with this firmware then I'll probably give the next release a miss as that one although in Beta form at the moment, is soon due for a full release to resolve the blank table - but if it has other attributes then it may be worth considering.

Thanks for prompt replies.
I've now downloaded 1.06h.dt2, which I gather is supposed to fix the DHCP display problem, and will give it a try in the next couple of days.
