WAN line rates with FTTC

Post by uhap078 »

Hi all,
Today my FTTC was enabled and I've connected the BT Modem to port 4 on the 7800DXL.
Everything works great. The BT speed checker shows 54Mbps download and 13Mbps upload.
But on the 7800DXL admin screen, the WAN Line Rates (upstream and downstream) show 0 which confused me.
I'm presuming that's normal because of the external BT Modem?
I'm running firmware version 2.32d on my 7800DXL.

Thats right as the BT Open Reach modem is syncing with you line, the 7800DXL is unable to read the sync rate off the BT open reach modem.

Thanks. Ultimately I'd like to get a combined vdsl, dual band, wireless (ac) router.
I prefer the simplicity of one box and one plug.
I wonder what Billion has in the works...?

We might have one in the pipe line, but it is still early discussions at the moment :D
