Question regarding SNR tweaking

Post by BlizzardUK »

I have tweaked my SNR but the SNR has not changed in the stats (still shows up as 11db after I tweaked it to change by 3db), however the Attainable Rate seems to show an increased number. Sadly though my download speed rate of 4542kbps seems stuck, it won't change regardless of what my SNR or Attainable Rate is. I bought the router to be able to change speeds, anyone know why the speed is stuck ? Upload speed seems to change. My Attainable Rate is a decent 16988kbps but that is pointless as the download speed won't budge from 4542kbps. Thanks for any help.

Also, before I had this router I had the Billion 7700N, I am shocked at how HUGE this router is in comparison, why is it so much bigger than thw 7700N ?

If you are unable to tweak your SNR, it means the ISP are over riding your settings, you will need to investigate with your ISP to see if there is any cap in place. (SNR cap or Sycn cap)

The 7800DXL/DX/VODX is the same size as the 7800N, but larger then the 7700N as the PCB board is larger, to incorporate the USB port, and dual band wireless.
