7800n internet not working after FW upgrade

My ISP is Plusnet

I'm using
username@plusdsl.net
for the username

The password is the same as my account login password
I know that's good, because I can log into the PlusNet web site

I'm accessing this site from somewhere other than my home, so won't be able to read/post any more until tomorrow

Try and check the VPI/VCI settings (0/38), also the protocol (PPPOA) and also check the encap method (VC-MUX)

Also once configured check the status page of the router, to see if it states 'Connecting' or 'Authentication Failed'

The problem is resolved
Thanks to all who provided advice

I repeated the firmware upgrade / quick start process and on the second repeat, the WAN connected
I had recorded the parameters before the very first upgrade and used these each time
Not sure I did anything different to get a resolution, so will be vary wary of doing firmware upgrades in the future
