Re: USB setup

Post by raven57 »

Hi, I have a very similar problem on n 8800NL, but with OSX 10.11 on a Mac - though never get the enter USB user account name & password dialogue, can just see the usb1_1_share entries at 192.168.1.254 with no content. Get "can't be found error messages".

Was this ever resolved? if so what was the solution? or any advice on how to resolve using a Mac?

Thanks

1. Click on 'Go' and select 'Connect to Server'
2. Enter in the address section 'smb://192.168.1.254
3. Click on 'Connect'
4. Select 'Connect As >> Registered User'
5. Name = admin and password = admin (if you have changed the routers admin password please use this for the password)
6. Click on 'Connect'
7. Select the 'Volume' 'admin' and click on 'ok'
8. You should now see a 'USB' folder
9. Double click on it, it will show as empty, go back a page and then double click on the USB folder again
10. You should see all your files stored on the USB stick
