Took 6 people to get through to someone who actually knew what they were doing. The reset has now been done I am surprised they can do it. So far nothing has changed but I'll give it a few days

DLM resets have an instantaneous effect. Please post your line stats.

Anyway, I've just realised that this router uses a lower quality BDCM chipset than the 8800NL. Can anyone confirm if there are any other Billion routers that use the same or a better BDCM chipset than the 8800NL uses? Thanks!

Only 8900 series BCM 63168 (no update I'm afraid)

No worries, my Nan has my 8800NL, so I may be able to see if I get better performance with that. Any reason why that chipset wasn't implemented in the 8800AXL R2? Jeez, those in the 8900 series are very pricey!

Our head office choices the chipset, we can only sell the products they have on offer, and meet the needs of the UK market.

BCM 63168 is the best we have on offer at the moment.

I just ordered this router/modem to replace a failing TP Link W9980, I'm hoping it'll fix my disconnections, the TP Link can't hold an uptime of even 24 hours which is pathetic. Is this model still receiving tech support via firmware? TP Link seem to drop support of their products so damn fast which is one of the reasons I have switched to Billion.
