Router Access - username
With the increasing mount of DNS attacks using internet 'connected' devices, is it possible to change the default username on an 8800NL to make hacking more difficult?

Re: Router Access - username
The only option is to make a backup of your config file, edit the file with wordpad, search for your username 'admin' delete it and enter a new username.
Then save the file and upload the new file, then login with your new username,

Login to the router, click on 'Configuration >> System >> Backup/Restore, then click on the 'Back up Settings' button save the file to a location on your PC, then open it with word pad, search for '<AdminUserName>admin</AdminUserName>' change the 'admin' part eg <AdminUserName>nigelb</AdminUserName> save the file, and upload the file back to router 'Configuration >> System >> Backup/Restore'
