Differences between 8900AX-1600 R2 and 8800AXL R2?

Post by harry66 »

Hi all,
Apologies if this is a dumb or already answered question but..

Apart from the VPN stuff, are there any other big differences between the 8900AX-1600 R2 and 8800AXL R2?

I looked at the data sheets for both and they look mostly identical - other than the extra VPN section on the ...

The point of the questions is - will I change much in terms of improved range, stability, speeds if I replace my 8800AXL (which has been acting up) with a 8900AX-1600 R2?

The 8900AX is much dearer so cant beleive the only difference is the VPN stuff? I read somewhere that the 8900AX has a more expensive Chipsets - but is it also much improved?

Thanks!

The difference is the VPN as stated, and also the chipset (more expensive chipset) you will probably get a little bit more wireless coverage and sync speeds with the 8900AX-1600R2
