I'm hoping someone can help me on this problem. Have just replaced creaky TP Link adsl router with this one. Followed all set up instructions but it fails consistently to create Wan port. My username and password are correct, have spoken to ISP and all parameters are correct but the ISP cannot see any connection requests coming in to them. The internet light on the router never lights at all. Have spoken to Billion tech support who looked at various things but do not know what the problem is. Router is running v1.06h firmware. Old modem connects fine no problems. Have tried both new and the old DSL cable in case it is that...no difference. I do not know if the router is faulty or for some reason incompatible with ISP (Scotnet). I'm on a long line from the exchange and have a BET setup (supplied by ISP and Openreach) to provide a slightly better speed ie 0.85 meg! I understand this is just a signal enhanced solution.
Problem is....do I ask for a replacement for a faulty router or just go for something different?
Any help appreciated!

You might need to confirm the VPI/VCI also encap method and protocol, if the username and password is correct this should be only thing that is blocking you from connecting to the internet. (try using PPPOE and LLC SNAP)sjones wrote:I'm hoping someone can help me on this problem. Have just replaced creaky TP Link adsl router with this one.
