Am i correct in saying that one cannot assign a static IP address from the DHCP server?
I have looked through every menu, but can't find any reference to it.

Yes you can, see the attached screen shot, the IP address will have to be outside the DHCP range to avoid IP conflicts

Note that, frustratingly, you can only add 32 static DHCP reservations. It would be great if this can be increased in a future firmware revision.
