WAN Port fails to get IP address

Post by areuter »

Hi! I have a 7800N and it has been working fine until last week when I no longer could connect to the Internet (yellow light on the "Internet" LED came on). Tried to reset the router whithout success (setup fails every time at the IP authentification step at which point I lose connection to the router). Contacted my ISP who says there's nothing wrong with my broadband connection. Any insights? Thank you.

It could be that the router's network card could have failed.

Raise a ticket with Billion tech support at http://www.billion.uk.com/esupport and see what they have to say.

Re install the driver of your router card and restart your computer.
open your vpn and select search IP address to get a British IP Address.

This has nothing to do with the issue.

Who is your ISP?? Are you using ADSL or the EWAN port for the internet connection?

At the moment as the internet light is amber it seems it is a authentication issue (ISP username and password issue )
