I have always had issues when using ADSL2+, so much so that I had to configure the modem to fallback to ADSL2, even though I am not that far away from the exchange (attenuation=28.5)
I have been monitoring the SNR on a number of tones that seem to do an awful lot of bitswapping and I tried this command to disable a few:
adsl connection --tones 0-281,283-337,339-509
As soon as I entered this command it dropped ADSL and resynced, but all the tones are still active (adsl info --Bits shows they are bitloading the tones 282 & 338).
The same command on a Billion 7800 does seem to disable those tones, so why doesn't it work on an 8800NL????
If I monitor tone 282, the graph shows very variable SNR for that tone - so I thought if I could turn that tone off?
