Cannot get 8800NL to sync

Just received the 8800NL today.

My Huawei HG612 has been removed and the 8800NL has been put in its place, however the 8800NL will not sync. The HG612 had no issues syncing whatsoever.

I've upgraded the firmware to 2.32e but still no joy.

I'm on TalkTalk Fibre.

It's the fact that the DSL light flashes on and off that would seem to indicate some kind of physical issue.

I am assuming you have ensured that the plug in pushed in correctly etc?

Yes, using the same cabling that works perfectly with the HG612...

Hmmmm, the only other option would be to set it back to factory settings - but DLM may kick in

How would DLM kick in if the 8800NL cannot sync in the first place...

I just assumed that everytime you rebooted the 8800 it'll send a message saying you were rebotting to your local network. I am only trying to help though.

I'm sorry but I don't understand you.

The 8800NL does not sync, the settings for the authentication with the ISP will have no effect on this.
