8800axl tips

Post by freelanderuk »

Hi all ,just joined the site and had a good look around ,plenty of info, :D

I have a 7800n that I am using at the moment on a long line with great results ,bought a 7800dxl but did not find that as good so never used it,

I have just bought a 8800axl to use on plusnet fibre that I am getting installed in 9 days , are there any tips for getting the best out of this 8800axl on fibre and which is the best firmware to use
Thanks for any replies
Regards
Chris

The unit should be ready to go, other then setting up the WAN (you can't tweak the SNR for a FTTC/VDSL connection)

The only thing you might need to do is adjust the wireless channels, depending on your environment.

I sent the 8800axl back and bought the 8800nl as we would not use all the extra features and it saved me a good few quid :D
