VpN trouble.
I am able to set up VpN remote access between my iPhone and billion 7800N using the external WAN IP address of the billion. The problem is that the external WAN IP address of the billion keeps changing (dynamic), making it difficult to connect by VpN when away from home once this happens. Is there any way around this?

Re: VpN trouble.
Is your ISP unable to give you a static IP address?
Unless your line is a little unstable I would have thought that the Billion would hold the connection almost constantly, certainly on my Sky line the only change of IP address is when I deliberately restart the router.

Re: VpN trouble.
Try using the DDNS option

Re: VpN trouble.
DDNS is dynamic dns.
When your IP changes the router notifies one of a number of user selectable services.
This service then updates the DNS mapping for a domain chosen by you.
the dnsomatic service (which is available on the 7800) can update numerous ddns services, even those not supported directly by the 7800
See the DDNS page on the router here:
http://<router IP address>/ddnsmngr.cmd?action=all
BTW, iPhone will not work connecting to the PPTP if you want to secure all your traffic (e.g. at public hotspot)
