Bt broadband

Hi My name is dave from east sussex i am thinking of getting one of these to replace the Bt home hub , my broadband comes down the phone line so will this be ok I have read the reviews on amazon which are good , also I'm on the Xbox 360 most of the time hard wired to home hub can I make the Xbox 360 a priority for the broadband so I don't get the lagg like I get now for multiplayer cheers Dave and have a good new yre
