I can see that Aus has the Billion BiPAC 7800VDPX, when will it be available in the UK? I am interested in the 5GHZ connectivity and other features it has to offer.
Will it work with a SKY FTTC connection like I have with my 7800N?
When will we get the Billion BiPAC 7800VDPX

There will be no 7800VDPX for the UK, but 2 new dual band models will be launching next month - 7800DXL and 7800VDOX (VoIP + VPN) - and both will support FTTC,fatboydel666 wrote:I can see that Aus has the Billion BiPAC 7800VDPX, when will it be available in the UK? (I am currently testing the 7800DXL at home)

Broadbandbuyer have sales listings for the 7800VDPX, 7800VDOX and 7800DXL - but no details on when they will be available or their price in the UK
Hopefully the wireless card isn't held in place with some cheap poundland glue this time

Looks like the 7800VDOX & 7800DXL are now available for pre-order from Broadbandbuyer for late February...Spudgun wrote:Broadbandbuyer have sales listings for the 7800VDPX, 7800VDOX and 7800DXL - but no details on when they will be available or their price in the UK

Just pre-ordered the 7800DXL...
(I don't work for Broadbandbuyer, but have bought from them before without any issues).

Does the Billion BiPAC 7800DXL support Nat Loopback on launch.
I know my 7800N always did and i saw the 7800VDPX had a firmware update in AUS after launch that brought that feature in.
I cannot stand it when modems do not support this.
Thanks for the heads-up

Hopefully some UK based reviews will be appearing soon, as I will be interested in the 7800DXL to replace my ageing Netgear DG834GT

I am also interested.
Billion_Fan: are the aerials detachable on the 7800DXL you are testing? I would expect to replace them with some beefier ones, as I have done on my existing 7800n.
The aerials on the 3100SN, by contrast, are fixed and cannot be unscrewed to replace.
What's the aerial format for the 7800DXL, please?

The 7800DXL has two fixed antennas, because they have to support both 2.4ghz and 5.ghz

Does anyone know whether either of the 2 units bound for the UK are modem/routers or just routers. The Australian sites give conflicting information.
Thanks
