I have disabled IGMP on the Billion 8800NL but still see logs in the software firewall indicating that IGMP probes are still being sent.

They are blocked but I wonder why they are still being sent after I have disabled IGMP.

Inbound, local & remote ports = 0

I expected them to stop after disabling IGMP

What logs are you seeing??

Do you mean on the firewall log within the router??

Have you tried to restart the router once IGMP is disabled?

I hadn`t restarted the router - this seems to have fixed it now.

Lesson learned: always reboot after making settings changes !
