Need some speed

Post by Dunworking321 »

Afternoon
I'm with TalkTalk medium fibre and my speed dropped from 36 to 20 meg,all the forums seem to point to a router problem.
So I bought a 8800NL R2 after a lot of reading on the web and guess what the speeds no better, is there any settings that I can change
to increase the speed, or have I wasted me pension money. Any help appreciated.
Thanks Dunworking321.

Normally you can't tweak the VDSL side of things, sometimes its best to leave the 8800NLR2 connected to you line for around a week or so, to let the router adjust to the exchange/line and see if the speeds increase. (do not turn off the router during this time period, the 8800NLR2 is designed to stay on 24/7)

Thanks for the speedy reply
I always leave the router on so like you say I will just have to give it time and hope it speeds up.
Thanks again
