Billion 8800NL with EE Fibre

Post by Jon182 »

Has anybody got this working? My setup keeps on failing after entering in username and password. I have selected VDSL on the first page of quick setup and left all other parameters as default. When I plugged in supplied EE BrightBox 2 it worked fine. Fairly sure I have got the right credentials although I could double check.

Once you have failed the setup, you can check to see if the username and password is incorrect by following the steps below

1. Login to the router on http://192.1681.254
2. Use the username 'admin' and password 'admin' or if you have changed the password use your new password to login
3. Click on 'Status >> WAN'
4. Check to see if the 'PPPOE' interface under 'Status' states 'Authentication Failed' (Authentication Failed means a incorrect username or password was used
5. If it states connecting click on 'Configuration >> WAN >> WAN Service'
6. Edit the 'PTM >>> PPPOE' profile
7. Make sure the '802.1P Priority' is set to '0' and the ' 802.1Q VLAN ID ' is set to '101'

My username and password are correct. So I altered the config as per step 7 and the setup competed and status showed connected. However pages did not load and diagnostics showed fails for all the ISP tests. Tried static DNS and reboot to no avail.

When you click on 'Status >> WAN' do you get a 172.xxx.xxx.xxx IP address??

Sorry for delay was on holiday. Not getting 172.xxx.xxx.xxx. Getting 95.148.xxx.xxx instead.

Also check the 'Advanced Setup >> Routing' page to make sure all WAN interfaces are listed under 'Selected Default Gateway Interfaces'

Its seems the device is connecting as the you are receiving a IPv4 address

Can you take a screen shot of your 'Advanced Setup >> Routing' page and post it here so I can check it
